CELTIC, Central Europe. Uncertain tribe. 1st century BC. Quinarius (Silver, 13 mm, 1.13 g, 7 h), 'Nauheim' type. Male head to right, wearing two torques and with his hair in large curls. Rev. Winged ‘bird-man’ to left, holding a large torque with both hands; nine annulets around; all within wreath. Dembski 355. Flesche 405. LT 9388. SLM 1114. A lovely piece with superb old collection toning. Extremely fine.
